Bill Phelan Interview at ELFA Convention

William Phelan, president and co-founder of PayNet, Inc., was interviewed on Oct. 24, 2011 at the ELFA 50th anniversary convention in San Antonio, Texas,. for Bob’s Blog concerning the latest lease and loan data collected and what it suggests for equipment leasing market. Phelan also speaks about how he formed his company which has provided a valued service to the industry since 1999. Click below for the brief video interview.

Phelan said his firm conducted a study for the ELFA convention that indicated agriculture is a growing segment while healthcare equipment leasing has declined recently. Even the hardest hit areas of transportation and construction are showing signs of a comeback, the PayNet report indicates.

Ahead of the conference on Oct. 3 PayNet and Thomson Reuter issued a report that showed U.S. small business borrowing had jumped in August, suggesting this is a harbinger of better times ahead. From PayNet’s data and the keynote presentation by Martin Regalia, chief economist for the US Chamber of Commerce, indications are that America is moving beyond its deep recession.
